What does it mean.

The word ostium in Latin means door. The word ostiarius or hostiarius means doorkeeper.

...I've noticed a lot of latin tribe names end in ii so when they add the ii at the end does this mean in this case the "the people of the door" or something like that?

No. The -i ending is second declension, plural. The -us ending is singular.

What is "dominus fecit?"

I meant that the word ostuarii is plural for ostiarius and not ostium.

Hence: The clan of the doorkeepers instead of the clan of doors
