It seems we have too much congregational singing and less singing by the traditional schola. People think it is either or. I think we can have both the metric hymns and the gregorian chants. I do not see why these two can go together. I have never heard about a similar problem in the East. And away with guitar Masses as soon as possible and teach people traditional Catholic music if you ask me. I am now watching a Russian Orthodox Mass and man what amazing music and just wow. I mean, the West has lost something!!! What do you think?
