I don't usually buzz through a book... but goodness: this is an enjoyable read.
Socrates finds himself alive in 1987 at a "Christian" University called 'Have It University'. I was born in the late 70s so I know little about the college life in the mid 80s; namely the college life of a Christian college. I would have assumed them to be a bit more true to the creed than Christian colleges today. Sadly, the life on this fictional college campus is much like the life on college campuses today - at least when it comes to the view of who Christ actually is.
It very entertaining to read how Socrates interacts with various college students and professors. The glib, shallow, shiny-happy "It's all Love" Christian students get their assumptions pulled out from under them.
When it comes to interacting with professors Socrates points out the similarity between today's professors to the Sophists of his day. How I wish I would have been of the mind to read this while I was in college.
