The first edition of The Bright Ages: A New History of Medieval Europe was just published days ago.

Very timely post. Thanks for making mention to these books.
I was going to read “Those Terrible Middle Ages! Debunking the Myths” by Regine Pernoud soon.

These books that you reference would be good companion pieces to her book.
