Hi from England. I listened to Steve Rays testimony on Youtube this afternoon and it was great. I come from a long line of Anglicans with a few Catholic relatives. Like most English we were forcibly converted after Henry the Eighth Failed to get a divorce from one of his 8 wives in the 1500's. Henry fell out with the Pope and made himself head of the Church of England and got his divorce. I met my wife 23 years ago and she was a Catholic she didnt force her faith on me at all. She went to weekly mass so I asked her can I go as well. I felt ashamed I didnt know the apostles crede the prayers except the Our Father so I learnt them. I quickly picked up the order of mass, the Hail Mary but still I wasnt a Catholic. I went through a nervous breakdown a few years after marraige and I picked up my wifes Rosary I would lie on my bed and pray the Rosary continually, quickly I improved and returned to work in a new job. My favourite prayers became to the Saints and these helped my daily life and marraige. My eventual fatherhood was hepled by faith in God through my new Catholic Faith I visted Catholic Churches all the time and Prayed. My Parents had no problem with my Catholic faith even though they were Protestants. My mother loved Pope John Paul the 2nd had a Rosary and had many Catholic Friends from Childhood, she had been bought up in Weslyn Chapels but went with girls to Confession in her Youth and her family had Benefictine Monk friends. The prejudice of demonition had not been part or her life and neither with my dad all his old Army pals were Catholic Boys. To cut a long stort short I had heard prejudice from one Anglican friend but I realised he new nothing real about the Catholic Church infact it was as Steve says just incorrect. Strangley enough a former Sikh friend now a Christian Reformed Church pasteur supported me and showed complete undstanding to my new faith. I love the Catholic Church, The Rosary, The Sacrements, The Holy Mass and the pilgrimages. I realuswd I was a Catholic in Waiting in my Youth so I could have had a Vocation

Hola! Y feliz navidad!

Feel free to leap in on the threads here. Waiting patiently, although your choice, will not bring you renown. And, as a newbie, if you get trampled by some of the more boisterous 'round here, don't be put off. We all get trampled.
