Said spammer's post was a url followed by a list of three words, like gherkin, invincible, horror, so I thought it needed an etc. at the end.

Dunno. Nizhniy is a Russian word for lower or bottom.

That's all I can finger out.

Suddenly I'm reminded of a Russian movie I watched several years ago. "Nochnoy Dozor", or "Night Watch".

That horror movie is based on Night Watch, a novel by Sergei Lukyanenko.

You must be fond of vampires.

Not particularly. I do like foreign films. I used to drive our office manager Maria (now retired) up the wall telling her about the latest movie with subtitles that I watched.

And the subtitles on Night Watch were done in an interesting way.

The author, Sergei Lukyanenko, who was born in Kazakhstan, has written over 25 scientific fiction books, including Night Watch, Day Watch, etc.
