Greetings from the North Coast!!

Hello...
I'm a retiree who works seasonally doing grounds maintenance at a local golf course, so, with the snow on the ground, my season is over.
My wife of 40 years and I have been active members of our current parish for over 30 years.
My hobbies are gardening and homebrewing.
I'm interested in faithsharing and just casual conversation.

An internet search listed several possibilities - so what area of the world is (your) North Coast?

My North Coast is Northeast Ohio, the North Coast of the continental US.

Our first dog, Stasch, was a 'rescue' [they've all been 'rescues']...a golden retriever/samoyed mix...a sick puppy with parvo, who grew into the handsomest dog in the history of dogdom...we walked 20,000 miles together...strangers would approach and ask what breed he was, and, after a while, I called him a North Coast Retriever, because of his heavy double coat...children I'd never seen before would approach and ask if I'd trade dogs with them...after 12 1/2 years, he took up permanent residence in the back yard, and has since been joined by Cindy and Shelly.
I have yet to see another North Coast Retriever.

My paternal line came thru Ohio, some stayed, and some moved on west (and I believe some of my maternal line as well).
Sounds like a great dog companion you had. Yes, we also have a backyard 'memorial garden' - some 10+. Most of them were quite
elderly before leaving us. We are down to two backyardigans now, 1 pointer, 1 scruffy dog, and a garage kitty.

Hiya from the Music City! The company I work for has a location in Youngstown; I've long wanted to wrangle an excuse to go up there, simply because it's only an hour from Pittsburgh. That city is near the top of my "bucket list" locales that I have yet to visit.

And I'm about a half hour west of Pittsburgh.

I know one town - but there's home and office - and I'm not sure which is which.
