and yes, peetem tells the truth ....with a 9-1 first week record (and 53 points) he stands alone as champion.... for now.... my 7-10 picks are locks and i think i'm picking either 3 or 4 dogs to complement my locks this week... should be an interesting week...are you aware texas is 7-1-1 against bama lifetime? food for thought, i'd say 8-) :fyi:

i'll get the standings up for any other discerning eye to visit and notice... obi-wan i'm talking to you.... and here again i'm missing edwise... he was always willing to comment throughout the season

I have slipped quickly. This past week was a disaster for me.

I think I'm going to go back being a Dawg fan.....

You say that like it's a bad thing, when the bad thing is leaving the Bulldawg Nation in the first place....

I keep trying to make my picks this week, but a message pops up that says something like "You're here a little early, matchups will appear here soon".

Anybody else having this problem?

Looks like we all picked Michigan.

Yeah, I know. Big Penn State fan, but Michigan has OWNED us for the last several years. You bet with facts, not with emotions.

the utes sure helped me out... allowing me to pick up points on everyone.... add ou to that list helped me climb into first place for a week with a less than mediocre 29 points.... you received the same benefit of being the only one to pick canituck to upset the bull puppies :fyi:

well, this week should be interesting... unlike last week when i knew i was in trouble cuz i had no idea about 4 of my picks...that usually doesn't happen... and apparently that fear was realized when i matched my lowest total of the season :fyi: :verymad:
eek, but i do feel good about both of them... we shall see

climbing back into first place is not out of the question... maybe lote will revert to his normal self and let me blow past him and peetem will manage to have a few more forks inserted into him

here are the standings going into this week

lote 53-26 295
peetem 51-28 291
fs 51-28 286
arky 49-30 285
mrs timmy 44-35 257
lelesim 42-27 254

weeks won
lote 3
peetem 2
arky 2
mrs timmy 1
fs1

Well, I certainly didn't let you down, did I? Looking at the scores, we all got pretty well flummoxed by some of those games.

I wasn't expecting to hold onto first place, but it was fun being there for a week.

Well, the season is nearing its end. College football will soon be gone in a flash and we’re left to months of bowling, poker, reruns of field hockey, and lacrosse until March Madness.

My War Eagles crashed and burned quickly (I actually said after game 3 of LAST YEAR our coach should never have been hired).

The Red Elephants will, for the first time in FOREVER not be in the hunt.

The mighty Sooners because irrelevant for the first time in a long time. A long time.

Penn State, Texas, and a few other teams got better. Are they back? Time will tell.

And, barring a complete collapse of epic proportions, for the first time EVER playing, Peetem hasn’t missed putting in his picks for one or two weeks during the season and completely collapsing in the Pick’Em.

Of course, I’m bummed that so many who used to visit here and play don’t anymore. But, that has at least opened the door for me to not actually come in last. So that’s something for me to celebrate!

quite a sobering experience this year... just goes to prove i know nothing about picking college or pro football winners...so glad i didn't get involved in the various sports betting opportunities that exist these days

so for those interested in how our competition is going that don't play (surely someone else reads this page, right?), i present to you this update... just keeps getting harder to make picks with no knowledge of the teams.... i have sworn to never put a team in the top 2 picks if i have no clue about the teams.... this is the first time EVER that my 10, 9 , and 8 point pick failed to come through for me in the same week but i guess i'm not alone with some of the weekly scores that we have seen this year :( ... pretty sad when the highest winning % is 3rd in total points :( :verymad:

peetem 72-46 418
arky 71-47 412
fs 74-44 399
lote 72-46 391
lelesim 64-44 381
mrs timmy 63-55 380

weeks won
lote 4
peetem 3
arky 3
mrs timmy 1

What makes you think that? I just made my picks for this week and I'm still in the race.

:fyi: i'm thinking he didn't associate you with go blue and white

i was gonna come in here congratulating myself for putting the osu loss at the bottom of my picks.... only to find out i had changed the position so i could pick two underdogs... oh well, losing 6 points was bad enough but gee thanks clemson...lose your first home game in 30 to an unranked team kinda hurt me bad for my 10 point pick... is that even a rivalry game? i wasn't at all worried... the vols big loss to the gamecocks last week i just chalked up to tennessee being tennessee.... little did i know the male chickens were for real :DOH! :brick:
