My daughter and her husband will be honeymooning in Europe next month. They would like a tour of the Vatican, and are hoping for something guided, because they want to learn as much as they can about everything they see.
Any suggestions?
Since it is their honeymoon, I'm not sure how they could coordinate this, but there are special tickets for newlyweds called Sposi Novelli:
https://www.catholicmatch.com/institute ... in-person/That sounds wonderful. Sadly, they were married in a civil ceremony. And this is a delayed honeymoon. They were married September 2nd, but had to wait for the new year for paid time off from work.
So, they can see if they can get married in Italy. That would be apropos.
While I do see evidence of the Holy Spirit working in them, right now they are not properly disposed to a valid sacramental marriage. My son-in-law was raised Baptist, and my daughter hasn't practiced her Catholic faith in years. She has shared with me some of their spiritual discussions/debates, etc., and it gives me great hope. They went to a Cathedral during Advent for an evening of readings and song (you could have knocked me over with a feather). They also went to a non-denominational service on Christmas Eve (they were invited to a relative's faith community), and they were appalled at the irreverence and lack of worship there.
I pray that this trip adds to the spiritual nudges that they seem to be responding to.
