I was thinking about making some chocolate covered marshmallows, but I have never had them and can no longer eat chocolate. Not any I have available, anyway.

They aren't high on my pick list when it comes to sweet treats, but I won't spit 'em out, either. :fyi:

I assume you mean chocolates filled with marshmallow, like chocolate bunnies or chocolate Santas? I find it hard to believe you have never had one of these before.

I use the tiny marshmallows in hot chocolate. If they were chocolate covered, that would be a plus, but that's the only way I would use them.

Yummmmmm.... Marshmallows and Chocolate, in the correct proportion (not too much chocolate) is wonderful!

How have we danced all around s'mores, yet failed to mention them? Is it just because it's wintertime and not exactly "campfire" season?

S'mores are just too much for me. I can eat two bites and then my stomach says "no more s'mores!"

I prefer these but sadly they have been discontinued. :(

Ok, seems they are acceptable. I will slap a little chocolate on some marshmallows when I am doing the strawberries. I never buy a chocolate covered strawberry anymore, too expensive.

I am enjoying feeling healthy far too much to eat a bunch of junk food anyway, so this is all just for other people.

Dark chocolate is better than milk chocolate.

It's safe to say that you've never tried a Pepperidge Farm Mint Milano cookie, then.

E.L. Fudge, dunked in milk for the right amount of time.

Or just homemade chocolate chip cookies, without the walnuts, of course, using real butter, a little extra vanilla, and just barely cooked enough to be called done. Recipe from the back of the Nestle chocolate chips.

No dunking!

Image

Dunking is a misbegotten byproduct of the fall of man. Cookies are made to be crispy or chewy, but NEVER soggy. :verymad:
