In Exodus 4 : 24-26...

This is a very mysterious passage I never picked up on.

God was about to kill Moses’ son.

This was after he told the Lord he would go to Egypt, told Jethro, and was on his way.

The Lord chose not to because of what Moses’ wife did.

There’s something profoundly deep to this passage and symbolic pointing to the Passover possibly? Clearly the Lord “passed over” Moses’ son here. I just can’t make out this passage and it’s mysterious meaning. I think it’s a lot deeper than what we first might think on the surface.

Maybe God was saying to Moses by this happening, “if you change your mind and don’t follow through, not only will your son die, but My Son Israel will also?

I don’t know.
Any guesses?

I think the clue is in verse 25: But Zipporah took a piece of flint and cut off her son’s foreskin and, touching his feet,[h] she said, “Surely you are a spouse of blood to me.” Moses had neglected the Abrahamic covenant by not circumcising his son.
