When you pray the "mystery" before each decade do you quote a verse from the bible or do you just think of that specific mystery... like when I do the "Joyful" mysteries I just think about 1) Mary visited by Gabriel 2) Mary and Elizabeth meeting 3) The Birth of Jesus (and I think of the angels with the sheperds) 4) Presenting Jesus at the Temple (Simeon and Anna) 5) Jesus lost and found in Jeruselum (in the temple)... I don't remember the bible quotes I just think about each scene... and meditate on it.... is that okay?

Yes, that is perfectly okay.

I think its important we understand the fruit of each mystery.

Before I ask the Question I must first know who has netflix.

I don't have netflix but I have Blockbuster's version of it. Why?

Well their is this Childs movie on teaching you the Rosary and I was wondeering if anyone wanted to check it out and tell me its good and fulfilling before I risk watching it.

I've only recently started praying The Rosary, and have a sheet that I downloaded from the web to help me say the prayers.

I have thought myself that I will never remember them all, but they are starting to come.

A question of my own, if that is okay?

How should the Rosary be treated? Mine is in a box that I keep by my bed. I have read that some people keep them in a bag that they carry with them. Which is right, and is it wrong to wear the rosary? (I don't, but wondered about it). Thank you.

I, too, keep a rosary in a small box where I can always find it. Although I have numerous rosaries about the house, hanging on doorknobs of bedrooms, on my bed, and tucked away in drawers.

The rosary is a sacramental and should be blessed by a priest. It is not to be worn around the neck.

I forgot to respond to the part you mentioned about carrying the rosary in a bag. That is fine, and makes it handy to the person.

The official response from the church I read said there was nothing wrong with wearing a rosary.

I had never heard of an official directive from the Church in that regard.

Come to think of it I remember seeing pictures of children in third-world countries wearing plastic rosaries around their necks. That sounds like a good thing to me, as it is convenient and is on their person when they want to use it for prayer.

It also makes sense to me that a sacramental not be used as physical ornamentation (jewelry) just because it may be so well-crafted and beautiful, and may never be used for prayer. The real purpose of the rosary is to be an aid to prayer.

So, it seems that the intention of why one wears a rosary is to be considered.

If you don't have pockets you should wear it around your neck. I do all the time when my hands are busy and I'm saying my rosary.

There is nothing wrong with wearing a Rosary around the neck when it is done so for the right reasons, and not as a fashion or gang symbol. St. Alphonsus Ligouri e.g used to wear a Rosary around his neck. I don't have any special holders for mine, and quite simply have it in my pocket or have it some place in the house.

Some "celebrity" was wearing one, and I read something about whether or not the church disapproved, and the answer was most affirmedly that there was not a problem with wearing a rosary.

That is my understanding as well. Also, some Religious Orders wear a Rosary attached to their belt. While one can wear a Rosary for the wrong reasons or in a wrong way, it can be worn reverently.

How often should you say the Rosary, and how many times round (or decades)?

I say it once a day and do five decades. But I was reading on another site that some people do 20 decadeds a day, and others only pray the Rosary once a week.
