There are a lot of wonderful memories of the past.
When I was little, we lived in Lake Charles, LA. It gets HOT there. We kids would run around barefoot, and you'd have to dance across the sidewalk because it was so hot.
In those days, they delivered milk -- with a mule-drawn wagon, with the bed filled with ice. We'd pester the milkman until he gave each of us a huge chunk of clear ice -- barefoot on a hot day with a chunk of ice! It don't get any better than that.
