Just thought I'd pop in and say hi. I'm a life long English Catholic, named Owen, in the process of being rebaptized (to make it a conscious choice on my part), also looking to enter the lay preacherhood. I was baptized and confirmed as a Franciscan, and am a particular fan of Augustine, Francis, St Thomas More (my assigned patron saint) and the Carmelite movement.

My Catholic belief revolves, perhaps obviously, around the BV; however, I suspect in many ways I could be classed as specifically a Marian. I enjoy Scriptural and Apocryphal study, and theological discussion, as well as the redefinition of the Creed.

All of the above is very boring, I know, but I'm far more interesting when I'm not making a formal introduction.[/ccc]

Owen, what did you mean by rebaptized and redefining the Creed? I haven't heard a Catholic say those before and I'm not sure I know what you mean there.

Hi Owen, welcome! What is the "lay preacherhood?"

No this is all very interesting. Catholcis have no "Process of Being Rebaptised" not even the English ones. What does that mean? And what is Lay Preacherhood? Is that some new English Religious Order? How exactly were you "Baptized and Confirmed Franciscan"? The Franciscans are a religious order. One does not enter it by being "Baptized and Confirmed". And what exactly do you mean by the "Redefinition of the Creed"? The Creed IS a Definition. It defines our Faith.

Hop on over to the Pub forum and explain...

:? Christ will certainly not rise again. I really don't know what you mean here.

Hi Owen! Welcome to the board. I look forward to your answers to the questions others have asked as I too am curious as to what you mean.

Sorry Bon, slip of the fingers, as it were. Typing whilst tired leads to "come" turning into "rise".
