It is so nice to visit here and to see so many familiar names. I'm another one of those refugees from another board ... This seems like a great place! And calmer, I must say! :)

I too am a cradle Catholic and it looks like I will be in good company here. I look forward to meeting many new people here. Thanks, DCF team, for hosting this forum.

:D Well, I've spent some time today reading through the threads here, and I may have to revise my first impression. I have found a few passionate arguments going on, but you folks all seem to be very respectful of one another. That's a good thing! Lots of great minds here, and I'm not sure I have much to contribute. But it definitely makes interesting reading!

welcome ts, it is great to see you here.
As mentioned, many have migrated here, and there is lots of knowledge and passion, and as you said - respect - which is always the foundation to growth.
Truth, spoken plainly and simply, as your name implies, will always bear fruit.

Hi Truthseeker!

You know it really does seem calmer here! It's nice to be together again and have such an opportunity to get to know some new "faces" isn't it?

since you're a cat person, thought i'd share a few more pics of the "family"... the first 2 are the last of our inside cats... little girl came to us as a starving to the bone kitten and is a neurotic 3 yo , spook is my MIL's siamese (about 10 yo) , miss kitty(my wife is a gunsmoke fan) is an outside cat that came to us as a 6 week old stray and is 2 yo, marble is a stray that we have been feeding but has been hanging around the house more often lately , buddy we haven't seen for almost 2 weeks and fear the worst... another stray that joined the group about 6-8 months ago

don't have pictures of the latest to come and be named... good baby (young orange and white tabby tom), abbe ( huge blonde/orange tom), cuz (big orange and white tabby tom), and one young female tabby..as yet un-named cuz she's too scared to come around us...but she appreciates the food... we also feed sweetie, a black female who lives one street over...she just had her 2nd litter of kittens (that she has hidden and the owner has not found yet)

that's all i can remember...sure i probably missed someone... oh yeah...just for balance we do have a 10-11 yo red and white female heinz 57 in the back yard named baby girl

Oh, Faithful, Thankyou so much for sharing those pictures of your kitty friends... buddy is pretty.... maybe someone stole him/her (?) Hope he's okay.

We have 3 kitties and 2 doggies;
Skinny is 6, is a very dark grey with slight tabby markings and white feet, he's always been chubby. He was born on our deck, to a stray mom I was feeding.... Everyone, even mom got good homes.
Stanley is a, flaming, orange tabby, real handsome guy.... he is 3 yo.... he was a freeby from a lady walking through a pet store (she was trying to get the store to take him and his tortoise sister, but they already had kittens that were older, to sell first.) He was from indoor parents, the mom was a toroise shell and daddy was a, show cat, a flame point siamese.
Jasmyn is a Choclate point siamesel... she just turned 1 yo. She replaces our lilac point was 15 yo and died almost a year ago.

Bella is our Collie, she is the most beautiful dog in the world. That is her official title!!! She is sable and white with perfect markings.... she is 6 1/2.

Molly is our, min pin.... she is 3.... she is a tiny little brat.... she is a funny little girl who loves to cuddle and do tricks.... she thinks she's huge though, so don't try to walk into our house, unless she is under control. :troll .. she's only 10 lbs so you'll live. (Actually she's really cute)

We love our pets, they all have St Benedict medals on their collars. Kitties are all, indoor pets. Doggies are well trained companions.

Thanks for letting me brag... sorry if I went on too long.

Love you all, God bless you and your loved ones, including you pets.
Lil'Ma

I wish I knew how to send pictures too.... I'll work on it.

well, buddy has disappeared before for 3 and 4 day stints...out "cattin' i suppose, but has always come back hungry and with a new gash or rip or hole somewhere...the fact that he has been gone as long as he has kinda indicates to me he won't be back... here's a pic of sweetie (thelma is her real given name) and her first litter... just talked to the gd of the owner and she said they have finally found the kittens and there are 4 of them...and sweetie keeps showing up over here cuz the food is better  bless her heart, she probably goes thru 6-8 cans of fancy feast a day.... those babies must tire her out
