One of the most interesting topics out there, imho, is Tradition. There's a sort of tendency to act like it can be pinned down. My wife has a saying "it's like trying to nail jello to the wall." That's Tradition. The reason I'm thinking of this is a thread I started elsewhere, "Mary merited to bear Jesus." The only response I got to it (I thought for sure I'd get lots of evangelical converts saying "oh no she didn't") was a very astute Catholic arguing eliptically that the Regina Coeli proves that she did. He's right, and the interesting thing is that the Regina Coeli does not fall into the sort of "Tradition" that neo-cons like to refer to as capital T Tradition. But it's so much more important, even if it's as hard to nail to the wall as jello.

I didn't know the Catholic Church was overwhelmed with neo-cons. ;) (Thinking of the ethnic dimension of the definition. . . .)
