Has anyone read this?

I listened to Eric Metaxas rave about it to Thomas Howard himself.... and it was hard to tell if it was from sincerity or to just ingratiate (Metaxas gets on my nerves at times).

He was saying that the book had a large impact on a generation of converts similar to "Mere Christianity" or an "Orthodoxy"... but due to Howard's conversion to Catholicism some Evangelical and Protestant publishers lost interest in the book, hurting its potentially larger reach, but which lead to Ignatius Press picking it up.

Would anyone be able to confirm if the Metaxian (oh he'd like that) sentiments on the book's value and impact are founded?

Thank you.

I think I need this book, for a couple of reasons.

I read it, but I was burned out on Howard by that point. YMMV.

My interests stirred since:

I collect Howard, casually.

I want to see how Howard, given his interest in Williams and Lewis, addresses their use of the Dance, if he does so at all.

I want to see how this (might ) bump up against Willey's THE SEVENTEENTH CENTURY BACKGROUND.
