3. Highway Patrol 1955-59.

5. The Prisoner 1967-68

Some of these shows are before my time. Soupy I remember as very funny. And I remember the business card the guy ( Palladin?) had in "Have Gun" as beig very cool. Rocky ( 'Pesky moose' ) and for some reason Roger Ramjet were favorite cartoons. Don't watch commercial TV any more. Long ago and far away.

Yes. Paladin, of the Hotel Carlton, San Francisco. My younger sister, back in the TV show days, pointed that, contrary to popular opinion, Paladin had a first name. "Wire".

The TV show was one of the few to spin off a radio copy; it was almost always the other way around. Paladin was on radio was John Dehner. Who was also Frontier Gentleman.

My favorite growing up was 'The Range Rider'...Jock Mahoney and Dick Jones starred, and also traveled with a rodeo that toured the country...I saw them at the old Cleveland Arena.

And, up above, I spoke of them (esp. Dick), favorites of my youth. I have a few dvds of the show. And many other shows.

I also saw a few TV cowboys in person, sometimes in parades, sometimes in live shows/fairs: Gene Autry, Lash Larue, Will "Sugarfoot" Hutchins, Duncan Renaldo, Clayton Moore (THE Lone Ranger of my generation. Him I met, twice, in person) and John Hart (not the Lone Ranger of my generation). Got signed material from Lash, Clayton, John, and from Eddie Dean (of whom few have heard) and Roy Rogers, neither of whom I met. And likely there are others I have forgotten.

The recent death of Clint Walker saddened me markedly.

Thanks for resurrecting this dinosaur thread, a nostalgia area that still resonates strongly with me.

Holy thread resurrection, Batman!!!!

Speaking of, I do in fact have memories of watching reruns of the Adam West Batman show growing up.

Woody Woodpecker was my favorite "classic" cartoon. I annoyed people by imitating his laugh.

And growing up in the '80s, I was a big fan of He Man and the Masters of the Universe, and Voltron. The Super Friends, too!

Watched The Cosby Show, too. Probably couldn't watch it now, knowing what we know now about Mr. Cosby. :(

Honorable mention. Especially since it was during the same show as 2 of the above.

I know. I'd rank them ahead of the others.

I got a letter from Rocky.

I'm guessing you are remembering the color Crusader Rabbit series.

My favorite movie as a kid was 'The Adventures of Robin Hood' from 1938, starring Errol Flynn. I watched that VHS tape to death. I in fact still love it, and watch it from time to time.

I also loved the Adam West Batman show, which aired in the early 90s in Norway (I'm born in 1983).

Yes. Although if there had been any reruns of the original series, I wouldn't have been able to distinguish, since we had a b&w tv.

Possibly you might have. The very first were extremely limited animation.

I was a moderate fan.

And I also recall Ramar of the Jungle.

the funny thing about B Cosby is that I always had a funny feeling about him, LONG before I ever knew. That's odd because I have a history of being a bad judge of character, generally. But anyhow, I watched that show a few times but again, just something about Cosby didn't set well with me so that's why its not on my list

funny how a lot of shows listed here.. i have never heard of them.

oh, another one I forgot

All in the Family, one of my favs

Won't anyone but me cast a vote for "The Adventures Of Ozzie And Harriet" or "Leave It To Beaver"?

I find a lot of episodes on YouTube. They still strike me as pretty funny and bring back memories of a calmer, more pleasant world.

Not everything or everyone was perfect back then, but at least where I grew up people tended to be more civil to each other.
