Morgantown update .... gas prices have been around 2.85 around here but in recent days some of the less greedy stations have come down to 2.79 or thereabouts ... one of these was the Kroger at University & Collins Ferry where I filled up the other day (paid 2.76 with my loyalty card).

I drove up to Monroeville, PA (near Pittsburgh) on Friday to have the ramp and automatic door on my van fixed ... prices in PA were in the 3.13 to 3.15 range  though they do have the highest gas taxes in the nation, so that's part of it. Glad I filled up before I left Morgantown. The Pittsburgh area is close enough such that if I'm making a quick visit (up and back the same day) I can avoid paying PA gas prices if I fill up before I leave West Virginia.

the lowest cash price i have seen around here has been 2.56...the highest has been 2.79... it wouldn't surprise me if the highest price in the city for regular is over 3.00 ... i'll go check at gasbuddy

It's standard in WV for the cash price to be the same as for credit.

it always had been forever down here.... still is in many places.... but when the prices skyrocketed is when the discounted rate for cash took hold.... made sense...there was no % processing fee to the credit card companies so they could sell for less and still make a profit

Granville Sheetz (out by I-79) was at 2.91 yesterday. That's the highest I've seen in WV in a while.

saw a range today from 2.39 to 2.69... should have been paying closer attention as i expanded my cruising zone to my old work (remember that?) stomping grounds... met a group (9) of ex-westerners for lunch... correction, one was still working there
