You just noticed it?

1946 is a unique year, it was the birth year of 3 presidents, as you note.

There have been other years which were the birth year of 2 presidents, both Andrew Jackson and John Quincy Adams were born in 1767. Also, both Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford were born in 1913, and both Jimmy Carter and George HW Bush were born in 1924. Also, both Rutherford B Hayes and US Grant were born in 1822.

Another weird coincidence is that Theodore Roosevelt was born in 1858, his successor, William Howard Taft, was born in 1857, and his successor, Woodrow Wilson, was born in 1856.
