i went to what was supposed to be a "healing mass"
i have been to other charismatic healing masses before
but this one felt wrong from beginning to end especially at the consecration. he had us stand around the altar during the consecration. he kept saying "parent" instead of Father and he threw in "mother" at a part i dont think the Blessed mother is mentioned. he gave us the Eucharist and we held it then we said the Lord i am not worthy to receive you part. i felt like the focus was not on Jesus but on this priest's hippie stuff
was this abuse?

You didn't sin. Your instincts are correct that those things should not have happened, but when they catch us off-guard, it's VERY difficult to figure out the correct response at the time and no one expects you to.

:(

My standard practice... If it says "charismatic" or "healing mass" I run in the opposite direction...
