just wondering

I say that if something starts out a certain way, it usually ends up that way regardless of changes made.

used to be in India if a man died, his wife had to go with him- like it or not

yes, I presume that is not the case anymore but again, such things die hard. And besides, aren't all countries misogynistic? some just more than others

If you're referring to the suttee, the Brits put an end to that during that evil colonial period.

Any place other than a Moslem-ruled country is an improvement.

Sati was abolished long ago. It ended.

India is a very, very diverse country. You will find seclusion of menstruating women in one place and West-like modernity in another.

yes, i had momentarily forgotten that the Brittish had control at one time. Thank God for the Brittish, even though a lot of time these days I am not saying that, to be sure.. Now they are letting Muslims into their country without much vetting and.. we know the rest.. all the attacks
