The Jews seemed to have a wide variety of ways of reading scripture. Which ones are the most prominent and which ones did Saint Paul use?

You seem to have a gift for asking questions that would take thousands of pages to answer. :|

I don't even know where to begin with such a complex and difficult question, I wouldn't even know where I would look to research the question. I suppose I would begin by going to Amazon and searching to see what resources are available. I don't know if there are resources available that would address the question, after all, our knowledge of pre-Christian Judaism is rather limited.

Typology was one of the ones St. Paul used; see Gal 4:25. But I don't think that Jews at the time of Christ would have labeled things the way we do now.

Modern-day Jews probably belong more-or-less to the same motley assortment of schools of thought that Gentiles do.
