Catholic prelates are embracing the anti-family agenda. Here’s proof
Matthew McCusker

Editor's note: This address was given by Matthew McCusker, deputy international director of the Society for the Protection of Unborn Children, on May 18, 2017 at the fourth annual Rome Life Forum, organised by Voice of the Family.

May 29, 2017 (Voice of the Family)
Final paragraphs:

It is clear then that the crisis in the Church has reached its gravest point yet. Churchmen at every level of the hierarchy are embracing an agenda, which is radically destructive of human life and of the family, which is the very basis of human society. Pope Francis himself has professed to be “gratified” by, and considers “an important sign of hope”, goals which effectively call for universal access to abortion, contraception and sex education by 2030.

Let us pray with renewed hope and fervour to Our Lady of Fatima, in this centenary year, that she may crush the head of Satan and that we may soon witness the complete Triumph of Her Immaculate Heart.

For the uninformed, Voice of the Family has many Groups and addresses the confusion within and outside of the Church. Matthew McCusker is one of the many speakers examining truths and falsehoods.

http://voiceofthefamily.com/about/
“Voice of the Family is an initiative of Catholic laity from major pro-life and pro-family organisations. We have formed to offer our expertise and resources before, during and after the Synod on the Family 2014-15.”

http://voiceofthefamily.com/3rd-interna ... nd-family/
Maria Madise, Manager of Voice of the Family, welcomed delegates this morning and spoke of the urgency of mobilising “the laity to assist Catholics at every level of the Church to grow in knowledge of, and to spread more effectively, the Gospel of Life and of the Family.”

“The confusion inside and outside of the Church has made this urgency more evident. Pro-life advocates, who hold the sanctity of human life so dear in our hearts, should be alongside Catholic bishops and priests and be more alert to defend the sanctity of divine life in the Eucharist, when it is threatened and attacked.

“Where pro-life and pro-family goals come together is in the restoration of a truly Christian society with Christ acknowledged as king over individuals, families and societies. The rest flows from our Fiat!”

A new legalism denies the moral content of moral rules.
By Dr. Jeff Mirus (bio - articles - email) | May 30, 2017
Extract:

“Guess what? The dismissal of moral norms is a modern form of legalism. This point was made brilliantly last week by Russell Shaw writing in the Arlington Catholic Herald: Legalism and authentic morality” at:
http://www.catholicherald.com/Opinions/ ... _morality/

“One of the most distressing things about the current pontificate is the frequency with which Pope Francis appears to assume, in the way he speaks about moral issues, that those who insist on the importance of Catholic morality to spiritual well-being, personal growth and the common good have substituted a rigid set of mere rules for the liberating power of our Lord and Savior. More often than not, Pope Francis seems to describe our concerns about moral damage to others as a way of cloaking our desire to gain power over them while keeping them from the love of Christ.

“I agree wholeheartedly with Russell Shaw that this dismissive attitude toward precise moral teachings is merely a new form of the error it condemns. Moral truth is liberating. In the Christian context, it is always part of the call to experience the transformative love of Christ. Yet so many today dismiss clear statements of right and wrong as mere rules, devoid of real moral content. This new legalism is used to dismiss the vital importance of knowing right from wrong.”
