I have a section taken from Martin Luther's works (D. Martini Lutheri opera Latina varii argumenti , III:62):

Quin etiam ipsi Juristae, de quibus minus videretur, in cap. Significasti, de elect. statuerint praevalere unius privati hominis sententiam tam rontifici Ro. quam concilio et Ecclesiae, si meliore autoritate nixus fuerit vel ratione.

I have a translation of my own, but I'd like to get something from somebody who knows Latin better than I do. I put it here because I'm not interested in debating the content (with which I know you'll disagree ... Luther isn't exactly popular, I know). I just want to know if my translation, as free as it is, is close enough to accurate.

Thanks!

Indeed, the Lord Jesus, when He prayed to the Father, "that all may be one. . . as we are one" (John 17:21-22) opened up vistas closed to human reason, for He implied a certain likeness between the union of the divine Persons, and the unity of God's sons in truth and charity. This likeness reveals that man, who is the only creature on earth which God willed for itself, cannot fully find himself except through a sincere gift of himself. ~ Pope Paul VI, Gaudium et Spes 24.3
