If on Saturday evening Vigils and Compline are prayed in the context of one service, should Compline be first, and then Vigils? Or the other way round? Or does it matter? I'm thinking of the programme for our pilgrimage now...

Hey!!! I thought you people on this board know something! I was counting on you! Anybody?

PS. I did also put this question on a Polish liturgical discussion board and received so far two contradictory answers :)

I'm not familiar with the word "Vigils" in this context. To what are you referrring?

The Liturgy of the Hours book (at least the Polish version of it) has a section about Vigil towards the end. The Vigil can be prayed after I Vespers of any Sunday or Sollemnity. Principally it consists of the normal Hour of Readings added by three Old Testament canticles and a Gospel (a sermon may also be included, if there is a priest present). Haven't you got that in the English version?
