shicking i tell you..... it must be the sign that the apocalypse is near... now where have i heard that before? :wave

it was a nice surprise when i returned to Mass in august to discover our beautiful statue of our Lady in her title of the Immaculate Conception...( it was a present from an order of Dominican nuns and over 100 years old ) had found its way from the cry room to in plain sight and in proximity to the altar

but this week we were all shocked to discover that the new regime had instituted the policy of having incense at 5 of the weekend Masses and here's the biggest shocker... we will now have bells rung at both the elevation of the Host and chalice ... this has N-E-V-E-R happened at our parish during the entire time i have been there... so 22 years

you guys know over the years how much i have complained about the "progressive" tilt of our "community" ... it seems prayers have been answered and the tide has turned.... we now also have a 7:45 saturday morning Mass , followed by confession and the pastor is very interested in determining how much support would be given to Mass in the extraordinary form on an intermittent basis

i just wanted to share that the beautiful passage in the first chapter of Luke is true, no matter what insurmountable odds seem to be in place
