ingenting, you’re a time machine transporting me to the days when I had to endure the rants of my ex-husband. “Everyone has a right to my opinion,” “If I can do it, anyone can do it” (without regard for God-given talent - or lack thereof), and “Disagreement = betrayal.” Not a pleasant place to be taken.

I tell people that my first marriage ended over religious differences: he thought he was God, and I didn’t.

I always picture Russian basses with foot-long beards.

Not entirely incorrect. In the East, The Beard is revered, and Gillette is reviled.

When I was AF Intel, none of the photos of Russian bases I saw had beards...but they sure had missiles. *dives for cover*

Traditionally, beards do not go well in military. Too much chance your opponent can grab your beard suddenly and thrust a knife between your ribs. Hard to grab a guy who has no facial hair.

I've never been able to grow a decent beard.

Also, you can only call me Eddie if you do it in a Roger Rabbit voice. :fyi: "Jeepers, Eddie! P-p-p-please!"

while i have not achieved the magnificence of one of the beards i have seen you sport, i can tell you mine has gotten to a point that it has never been before..... i got a haircut and beard trim in mid-april....then i became something of a recluse because of my hip problem.... so no more shaving...so it has been over three months since a razor or trimmer has touched me.... it has not got long...but it sure has got thick and unruly.... i have a goal to get back to Mass this weekend , so i'm trying to get an appointment for both hair cut and beard trim... if it doesn't happen, i guess they'll get to see my wild mountain man persona...
