The Gloria is recited at Low Mass. It is sung or chanted at Solemn High Mass as in this video.

Can the Gloria be sung at weekday Mass?

Your information pertains only to the Extraordinary Form of the Roman Rite.

Under the Ordinary Form, the Gloria is sung or recited (either is acceptable) on major feast days when they occur during the week.

I think in the Extraordinary Form, it is recited or sung on all feasts (1st-3rd class) as well as any Sunday outside of Septuagesima, Lent, Passiontide, or Advent. Possibly on certain ferias as well since the rule I saw was "if you say the Te Deum at Matins, you say the Gloria at Mass" and the Te Deum is said throughout the Easter season and I believe throughout the Christmas and Epiphany seasons as well (ending on the Baptism of the Lord).

I'm not an expert on the rubrics of the Extraordinary Form or anything, though, so I could be wrong.

ETA: But the OP does certainly apply to the EF in that whenever the Gloria is to be included, it is recited at Low Mass but sung at High Mass.

Right, and I would add that there are no obstacles (other than time/resources - more servers are needed, for example) to celebrating High Mass on a weekday.

Right. They do one every day at Clear Creek. My point was just about the days that Gloria is actually part of the Mass.

Just tryna answer the OP :)

A Low Mass can be celebrated with a single server or even without a server at all. But that isn't possible for a Missa Cantata, must less a Solemn Mass.

the answer is yes... presuming that you have a solemn high mass (or a missa cantata) done during the week. either way, you have to have a choir.

I can't remember exactly, but i think theres also an old rule about what time of day you cannot do a high mass.. like, prior to 7am or after 5pm.. or something like that (noted exceptions of midnight mass, masses during triduum, etc). i just dont recall exactly because we rarely have masses outside of normal 10am/Sunday, etc., and if we do, we don't have the altar boys or choir necessary to do it anyway.
