I have been to a Catholic church where there were no ushers at the Sunday Mass. No one came with baskets to take up the collection envelopes from the people in the pews. Instead the congregation can walk up to a table where there is a basket to put their money in.
How is the collection collected at your church?

Ushers, although I prefer electronic tithing. I wish more parishes utilized it.

we have 9167 registered households... last week's collection contained 784 envelopes, 281 loose checks and 601 automated debits (takes place on the 4th and the 15th of the month)
