I recently realized, given that I am not fluent in Spanish, that 99% of the Masses in Spanish I attended, the priests were using the word "todos", or however its spelled, during the consecration of the chalice, rendered "all", instead of the spanish word for many. This word is also in the celebration booklets in the pews.

Putting aside that this is the word in the celebration booklets in the pews and that the priests are still saying todos in the local parishes around here, my question is, was the correction from "all" to "many" during the consecration of the Precious Blood only changed in the English missals that the priests are now using, or was it also changed in the Spanish Missals that the priest is using for the Spanish vernacular Masses? I am not sure exactly how to phrase the question, but I think you understand my question.

What is going on?

If this is actually in the books, where do you trace back this mistake..the local parishes here, my own diocese, the US Catholic Bishops, or someone in the Vatican, etc.?

I am not aware of a new Spanish translation's having been issued. It's been too long since I've celebrated en español to comment on what the word in the current Missal is.

I think the third edition of Misal Romano has been available:

http://www.buenaprensa.com/Content/Imag ... Romano.pdf

But the Liturgical Press says that the second edition is out of stock and awaiting for the proclamation of the third edition?

According to this newsletter, USCCB is or was waiting for the approval of the Holy See for the Spanish Misal Romano, third edition, and many Hispanic churches in USA are in need of new Misal Romano.

I think the "in need of a new Misal" refers to the physical condition of the books. Since (as you noted above) the current one seems to be mostly out of print, it's hard to replace a worn-out copy.

Yes, I also point out the Roman Missal in Spanish, third edition, is available in Mexico and approved for Spanish celebrations in USA (see the flyer I attached in the message).
