I am still 'suffering' every Sunday, especially after H.Communion with the 'so called' choir. I even leave my hearing aid at home, so now I also don't hear the reading or the sermon. I decided it is about time I learned more about Vatican II. So I started searching the Internet in an attempt to find out how I must adapt. I found a great deal of information. Unfortunately most of it very critical. I start reading and eventually discover it is by "The Society of Saint Pius X".
Can someone please recommend books (e-book) or a source of articles to help me?

You can try to get an e-book titled “Vatican II: The Essential Texts”, edited by Norman Tanner, SJ. I do have the soft-covered book.

Another book (but not an ebook) is available from Amazon in both papercover and hard cover book:

The Dynamic Voice of Vatican II, Edited by Marina E. Ruffalo, published by St. Paul Editions

This contains 16 abridged Vatican II documents.

It is very difficult to find a book on Vatican II that doesn't have an axe of some sort to grind. It was and is a polarizing event.

What he said.

Do yourself a favor and get the documents and read them for yourself. Pick topics that most interest you, and go from there. You'll discover that the so-called "spirit of Vatican 2" as propounded mostly by sisters who dress like frumpy housewives, is just so much codswallop.

Until we moved (back) to Houston and discovered Holy Rosary parish, I wished I could remove a hearing aid to avoid listening to the guitar liturgies that have tortured me for years.

I have since downloaded from Amazon:-
A Concise Guide to the Documents of Vatican ii and Vatican II The Battle of Meaning by Massino Faggliole.
I have also downloaded the documents from the Vatican.
What I have learned so far is that most of the issues that worry me have surfaced since Vatican ii.

Can I ask what those issues are?
