The Passage from grandparent to great-grandparent absolutely snuck up on me--I can't remember having given it much thought or anticipation at all--but suddenly here we are, with a miraculous new bundle of Love and Joy. Our relationship (and responsibility) with this new little person can't be much like the one we had with his grandparents (our kid), but we'll learn and do our best to share our Love, Hope, and Faith.
We give thanks and praise for all our blessings: relatively good health, albeit lots of aches and pains, a reasonably comfortable retirement with some opportunity to travel and do other activities, a wonderful marriage and family.
It seems there is a kind of purification in the Divine Plan as we find ourselves slowing down a bit, enjoying our surroundings, giving thanks for our many blessings.

Congratulations on being a great-grandparent! Thank you for sharing about all your blessings.

I have 12 grandchildren,......but no great grands yet.
