Old Medic, you are committing the ultimate sin--you are making me agree with Doom! :swoon

I thought I was really old when I turned 40...but I actually feel younger in spirit now, than I did at 40. I'm quite content with my middleaged-ness.

...unless I'm experiencing that second childhood thingy...

I have incorrect info in my personal email profile, so don't know if this gets added to board info automatically.

Why I did this was my nephew encouraged me not to give out info on my email on the net, re i.d. theft etc. with your birth date and year etc.

So don't know if this effects my info coming into the steve ray forum or not. I thought it wise not to give out birthdate.

I do NOT however find having people telling us that 40 is "old" amusing. There is absolutely nothing "Old" about that age, unless the person claiming that it is is mentally about 6 years old.

So 40 is not old but 6 is? As Doom said, lighten up. No one is calling you old because you've turned 40.

50 is the new 40. I am almost 60 and plan on working another 15 years with God's help.

I have to agree. I have a daughter who is 40. So it can't be "old".

The way I see it, growing old is mandatory; growing up is optional. Having said that,

This is a really old thread, funny that it has been resurrected. But I do have to pop in to express my disappointment that no one noted the irony of a user with the name "The Old Medic" complaining about the use of the word "Old" in the name of this subforum.

I made this forum, and I'm 61. "Us old guys & gals" was tongue-in-cheek. There's always going to be at least one person who doesn't get our jokes and who has to act all offended. :nooo:
