How does God converse with us?
Contemplative Prayer? I have tried. I tried the Tomas Keating way. I could not make it work. Then I read it was dangerous.
I read more and learned I must sit down, relax, and keep quiet. If it pleases God, he will converse. (I think this is Thomas a Kempis) However, every time I try I fall asleep.

Can I really hear or just imagine the voice?

In all my years Christ talked to me two or three times, or at least I imagined he did. I asked a big favour and He answered. Some days later I broached the same subject. The answer was “I already told you. Just trust me”.
Can anyone help me or make suggestion. Should I persist or give up?

Never give up! He allows testing such as this because He loves us and wants us to make acts of faith, hope, and love...

I will send another e-mail soon after I find on the net what to share with you. It has helped me tremendously!

This is the prayer that was suggested to me and I have been saying it every morning for several months now:

God bless you...you are in my prayers. Please say a prayer for me.

Try the book Personal Prayer, by Father Thomas Acklin and Father Boniface Hicks.
