What's the general consensus on this book? Is it a good introduction to "Jesus rose from the dead and here's why" scholarship? Are there errors I should be aware of?

It's been a long time since I read it, but IIRC it's not particularly scholarly. He does a good job of marshaling arguments in favor of the Resurrection, though (again IIRC) his synthesis of the Resurrection accounts leaves something to be desired.

Back on topic:

N. T. Wright's The Resurrection of the Son of God is the most thorough modern work I know of, though it can be pretty technical in places, and Wright often has (IMHO) an excessively elevated idea of his ability to understand how ancients thought.

At a more popular level, Ignatius Press has a DVD on the question, with most of the usual suspects (Fr. Pacwa, Ed Sri, etc.) appearing on it.
