This was recommended for an upcoming Lay Formation day and I was wondering if anyone has read it? Is there anything particular about it or any insights that are not in the Catechism?

Just wondering if it is worth shelling out the money for it. Bank account is kind of tight at the moment.

The CCC is not particularly designed for insight-giving, so it would not surprise me if the book is better than the CCC at that.

Or better put Benedict XVI's "Jesus of Nazareth"?

Jesus of Nazareth is more a work on Scripture than a work on Christology.

If you do not have a Kindle, download the Kindle reader for your computer or for your smart phone/tablet. Then, get the "free sample" of the book. I love free book samples!

ETA link - Looks like Dr Hahn gave it a good review

I may just go to B & N and get it just to at least read it. The wife will wonder why I have to spend more money on another book on Jesus when I already have so many to begin with.

I'll just say that it never hurts to know more.
