Are there any books on the life of Saint Thomas that is just as good as G.K. Chesterton's?

Are there any that come close?

If so, which ones?

Not that I know of. I went looking for a bio of him over ten years ago and never did find one.

I don't know what you mean....you mean as "enjoyable?" Many biographies are more accurate, better researched, less unexamined legend

Jean-Pierre Torrell and Pieper would be who I start with

I second the Pieper recommendation.

If you like fictionalized accounts Lois Wohl has a good book The Quiet Light

In which St. Thomas is only a minor character. It's rather odd.
