Do you guys know of any books that defend scriptural inerrancy?

I don't think there are any Catholic books out there on this topic, but perhaps even books by non-Catholic Christians that are relatively safe to read?

Mainly looking for stuff that defends the historicity of the Gospels. And perhaps even goes into reconciling the apparent contradictions.

Oh, and preferably by learned scholars. Not pop religious teachers.

Father William Most, Free From All Error.

I had a copy of this years ago and for some reason sold it. I remember thinking it was really pretty good. I think I had some reservations about some of his contentions, but IIRC, none of them were from the standpoint of worries about his orthodoxy!

Exactly what I was looking for, thank you!

Also, do you remember what issues you had a bit of contention with? You don't have to go into it in detail. Just generally speaking on what topics?

It is difficult to find a nuanced presentation on the issue, so often, I find extreme arguments, writers arguing that if there is even one minor discrepancy, then you have to throw out the entire Biblical text.
