I am new here, and wanted to say hello. I am hoping to learn a little more about the Catholic faith. I have been searching for something for a very long time, and just recently I have been been more and more interested in learning about Catholicism (sp?) Part of me thinks I am on the right track, but another part of me thinks that I need to keep searching. Anyway, enough of that, thanks for having me here, I hope to learn a little along the way.

James

Howdy!

This is a great place to learn. I will pray for your faith journey.

Do you mind my asking... You're in Camp Cooke? That's army reserves?

:) Dana (who whole-heartedly appreciate and respect all our military personnel and their families!!)

Hi James,

Welcome.

If you have questions about the Catholic faith, the Catholic 101 forum is usually the best place to ask. You may also want to check past threads there too.

Camp Cooke is a huge military base with several units, active, reserve, guard etc. And lots of Civilians like myself that work along side the men and women in uniform. I can't give much more info than that. Thanks for the prayers during my faith journey.

Dr. James.

I salute you and thank God for you because you are serving all of us in a very dangerous place indeed. God bless you. I'm a convert from Protestantism. If you have questions I'll be glad to offer any help I can.

BTW My avatar, i.e., the picture to the left is of St. Athanasius. We was the first Doctor of the Church and served Christ in some very dangerous situations.

Welcome Dr James,

Happy to have you here, if you stick around you'll learn alot about the Church. Many of us are converts to the Faith. Hopefully we'll be able to answer all your questions or at least point you in the right direction.

Debbie

Hiya! ::):

Hope you're keeping safe over there. I'm a convert myself. Stick at it and you'll find the most wonderful riches in the Church. Irreplaceable (probably didn't spell that right, but, hey).

Thanks for all the greetings. I look forward to lots of reading and learning while on the site, and hope that this is the faith that the good lord has guided me to. I have been searching for so long that I was getting to the point where I was about to give up. I started asking for the lords guidance on what and where I should practice my faith, and next thing you know I am searching for Catholicism on the net, and asking questions of other Catholics that I work with. I then found this site and many more others, and have been learning ever since. I am just now posting, and I have lots more to learn. I am almost positive that this is where the good lord wants me to be. I hope that made sense. Anyway, thanks again for the greetings.
