I just thought I'd drop a line or two to introduce myself. I've been lurking around this web site for some time, and decided it was about time to say "hello".

I'm in the process of converting. I start RCIA next month ::): . I'm so excited, because at last, I am answering God's call after ignoring Him for so many years. I ignored Him, but after much prayer, the Holy Spirit's guiding, and initial study, here I am. It was a matter of finally surrendering, and believe me, as a dyed in the wool Protestant, it was no easy thing to do! You couls say the light bulb finally went on.

Thank you for this web site and message board. I have really enjoyed it. Keep up the good work and God bless!

I always like hearing about conversions, thank you for posting. As you probably already know, Steve Ray does have a place on his website for conversion stories, if you are interested in posting yours.

I ignored God for a long time too, so I can sympathize with you.

I hope your RCIA goes well, but if anything doesn't sound right there, please come here and check it out.

God Bless.

Welcome to posting on DCF.

I think it is interesting the light went on, as you say, before you have started RCIA classes. It was the other way around for me. I went to classes with no intention of converting. So much for my intentions.

As you go through RCIA and have questions, this is a good place for information on the Catholic Church. There are some very knowledgeable posters here. I have learned much more after RCIA, which was a good start.
