Hello.

My name is Zoe. I'm a 25-year-old newlywed from rurual Mississippi. I was born in Poland and so I was raised Catholic. When I was in my mid-teens I lost my faith and explored other religious traditions. About 5 months ago I returned to the Church.

My husband is Episcopalian but he is interested in converting and we are exploring Catholicism together now.

Zoe

Zoe, did you know that your name is from Greek? It means "life"! Welcome to the Church and the board! Please keep us informed of your husband's situation!

Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone.

No, my husband is not registered here and he's still not quite ready to start the conversion process, but he has started reading about Catholic teachings.

Yes, I know what "Zoe" means - it's actually my confirmation name and its meaning is one of the reasons I was drawn to it.

The population of Starkville is about 22,000, I think...

p.s. Dzien dobry to you too, BobCatholic. Were you born in Poland?

wow..is that with or without the student population? surely without...otherwise, it's much smaller than i ever imagined...

start praying to St Monica for your husband's conversion... or make it easier on him (and yourself) and just get him to petition our Lady for the grace to remove whatever barriers might be keeping him from converting... She's a fast worker...i can attest to that

I think that does include the student population, but I could be wrong. It *is* a small Southern town.

I don't want to push DH into converting: I want him to convert when his heart feels its the right time not because he's sick of me bringing it up. He's said that he wants to convert when we have a baby, but I'm not sure what timeline he has in mind.

I'm not familiar with St. Monica - I'll look her up, though.

Thanks,
Zoe

hehe...it was thru her prayers that her son Augustine came to the faith and became the great saint and Doctor of the Church that he was... her feast day is my birthday...come to find out my mil had been praying to her for my conversion...there are NO COINCIDENCES :D

ps...have you considered slipping a green scapular under the mattress on his side of the bed and asking for our Lady's help?
