Hi. I'm new to the boards. I am 39yr old cradle catholic, married with 2 kids. I heard about this board through CatholicRadio.org Forum, and thought I'd check it out.

I grew up a Catholic with no appreciation for our faith. My parents stopped taking me to catechism (and Sunday Mass) shortly after my 1st communion. I was confirmed while in college (so I could get married in the church) and still was not taking my faith very seriously (I felt I just didn't have time for it  . (My father was Catholic, but fell away from the church and with that he took his kids away too). It's only through listening to Catholic Radio for the past couple of years that I've come to totally Love our Catholic faith and appreciate all God has given me. I've learned so much!!

I am now teaching catechism (but sadly don't have as much time as I'd like for class preparation). Anyhow.. I can't seem to get enough information about the faith. I guess you might say I've become obsessed! (Maybe trying to make up for lost time???)

"When it's springtime in Alaska, it's 40 below". That is cold for my body! Do you do a lot of ice fishing?
