Hey folks

Sorry it took a while for the intro, I just wanted to be sure it was here … and it is. So this is me …

I am the Sacred Sacrifice you've seen here of recent. Essential Sacrifice is my name in the only other forum I have posted on. I highly prefer it an am more than comfortable using it now with the current company I keep. Most called me ES. The other site was Protestant / Evangelical predominant and although filled with good people, the undertone of my Catholicism vs … pick a topic any topic … become more and more evident in time and conversation. The longer I was there the less comfortable I became. I feel much more at home here …

I am very pleased to have found this site and hope to learn much more about my Catholic faith and, quite honestly, in the short amount of time here … already have. That spells good things for me !

Converted from Presbyterianism … coincidentally 2 years after I married my much better half who defines “cradle” Catholic. Then, in my heart, as God would have it, my faith was rekindled by Mary though the Rosary by my wife's example. It's hard o believe I'm talking years ago … feels like yesterday.

Guess grandpa was right “the older you get, the faster it goes.”

So … basically, that's who you're talking to … and he's looking forward to the conversations.

Thanks to all for the warm greetings. I'm blessed to be treated so well.

Pittsburgh is a great town and it's cool more than a few in here have experienced it.

Hola Highlander, lived in Albuquerque for 6 months. absolutely beautiful local. best visual ever was sunset on the Monzano Mts. actually did look like slices of seeded watermelon coming up from the desert floor. once accepted, beautiful people too.

Mrs. Timmy, i think we have a long and fruitful relationship ahead of us ! Steeler Nation Unite ... :D

Thanks again to all who took the time to greet. it is appreciated more than you know. :cloud9:

I was thinking the same thing. Which of us is Rick and which of us is Louis?

About all I have in common with Louis is that I can speak French, but when I do, I usually wind up reverting to Spanish in a couple of sentences. I can still read and write in French pretty well, though.

But I'll take Rick. I like the fedora-and-trenchcoat combo. 8-)
