was there one that predated mjt...that was the only one i knew him by from the time i got on the board in march of 03... i think he said he used his real name once and that was not a good outcome

I remember Adomnan on the old board - What happened to him?

One of the reasons is that this board is very professionally run and well-considered (I’m not being nice here, compare with the first impression you get of other sites, and you will see what I mean).

We try.

What a let down. I had this whole "And Steve saw it, and it was good" thing running through my head...

Oh well.

Funny. The same thing occurred to me, too! I guess great minds think alike. :D

I joined right before the change over to this format. I didn't post much on the old board, just lurked around. I think I had a different name then... I can't remember when that was though...2003?

I first joined on the old board back in 1996 IIRC but I posted under my real name. I remember SecretAgentMan, Gary Hoge, Mark Shea, Gerard Nordscoven (spelling??), Tim Enloe, Art Sippo and a host of others but my favorites were Brad K and Adomnan.

The board has changed a lot since then.

I started in 2003.

I remember Petrina.... who sent me my first Rosary with a book. (still use these).
.... Della.... always helpful.... and my buddy Therese.... although she likes the Buffalo Bills and Carolina Panthers. Not everyone is perfect.

What was Doom's name before Doom? (I think he changed his name alot)

There was a guy on here who I really enjoyed talking with: Bonafide. I hope he is doing ok.

I was in Haiti in 2002.

I went 6 months without seeing a computer

Thank you very much Mr. Ray for having this board. There is a great sense of community here and even though I havent personally met anyone face to face from this board I do feel like I am part of this big catholic family

I also appreciate the theological forums like Lyceum and Apologetics. It keeps the mind working, aides me in my educational ministry, and challenges me to be a better Catholic.

This is so true. This forum has aided me so much and have strengthened my faith in a good and orthodox kind of way.

Thank you Mr. Ray!

I've been here since '98. I remember all those folks that were mentioned that no longer post here. Some great intellectuals like Shawn McElhinney and Secret Agent Man unfortunately do not post here. I remember LOC, Walt, Diane S., Un-c, John F., Mary H., Maria Goretti, Monica Therese, Michele from Arizona, Matthew from Florida, Steve Haws, the Curmudgeon, and of course those that are active on this board from that time.
