Teaser trailer HERE.

That last wide shot before the screen goes black ... is that what I think it is?

If you think it's Death Star debris, then I agree.

Yep.

Also .... that laugh.

They're not just teasing us. I watched the live stream of the presentation at Celebration. After the teaser played the first time, Ian McDiarmid came out, and called for it to play again ... in his Palpatine voice. So yeah, the Emperor is back ... somehow.

So are they taking some points from the Dark Empire comics (where the Emperor had returned, in cloned bodies), or perhaps Empire's End?

Maybe Jacen Ben Solo will be the one to bind the Emperor forever, preventing his return!!

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

I gave up reading the Star Wars EU when it became nothing more than endless new Death Stars and resurrected Emperors, lather, rinse, repeat.

If that is all they come up with to conclude this new trilogy, then frankly it would probably have better if they had never made post-ROTJ Star Wars movies.

Test, for money, will be in box office receipts.

The Last Jedi made a ton of money and it stinks (although what it did likely do is sour audiences on other SW-related movies such as the Han Solo one).

Complete and utter nonsense, the Star Wars fanbase was indifferent to Solo and committed to boycotting it a full year before The Last Jedi was even released. The idea of taking popular characters and spinning them off into their own movies has NEVER been a popular idea with Star Wars fans. Fans were (censored) that the idea of a Han Solo film was 'the dumbest idea ever' when it was first announced in 2014 before there was either a cast, a director or a script and before even The Force Awakens was released, and at literally every stage of the pre-production, production, and post-production phase of the project, fans everywhere on the Internet were saying that they had no interest in the movie and no desire to ever see it.

Well I enjoyed Solo (saw it twice in its first week in theaters, in fact), though I'd say it's the most inconsequential of all the Star Wars films. Also much of the Kessel Run sequence was too dark for my liking, probably some of the worst camera/effects work of the series.

Totality not seeing the end of this dumpster fire. Let me guess: More Mary Sue invincibly, rehashed themes, and crapping on beloved characters.

"No one's ever really gone."

Sigh! Ain't that the truth. Thanks to CGI (otherwise known as "cheating") Carrie Fisher, heck, even Alec Guinness, could launch yet another trilogy to soak up the fan base for the next ten years.
