It was clarified by the Synod of the Church that 'safe environment policy' will be implemented in the Syro Malabar Church. Safe environment policy aims at.... [skipped]
Dioceses should form necessary groups/councils to solve complaints accused on the name of the Church from inside the Church and from outside. Presence of laity in these should be ensured.

We have scandals involving a Bishop and a Sister.

This is the first time we have scandals. He is the first Bishop to be arrested by the Indian police. This is all so sad.

One might think that, from the debacle in US, Irekand, etc the Church might have learnt a few lessons, that bishops would give adequate responses. Wrong. Safe-environment is delayed by many months. So far we had been getting only criticising-a-bishop and rumour-gossip type of responses. No still-stay-catholic-because so far.

Sisters staged a public protest for days against the bishop because they feared thta they would not get justice. :cry:

Just keep praying for them, and allowing the Lord to sanctify us.
