Watched a documentary about "Go" this weekend.

I've off and on tried to learn this game for many years. Added it to my Kindle a couple of years ago and I have yet to win even one game against the computer.

It is deceptively simple, and so very complex.

"A minute to learn, but a lifetime to master" is the usual line. But for some reason, the rules don't make sense to me.

We had an electronic Othello game when I was a kid. I found it in the attic and the contact wires had corroded. I soldered it back together and it works. Other than having a similar board and pieces it is nothing like go.

I have played the Go game, but never against the computer. It is a well-known Japanese game.

My ex-husband had a "Go" game when I first met him. We kept it until he moved out. We played it all of once. I couldn't begin to tell you a thing about the experience.

And I didn't want it to go unappreciated.

Othello is just the name Parker Brothers gave to the game of Reversi, it has been around for centuries.
