Thread resurrection. What do you think? Why?

I don't think you can ask this question in a brand new thread. You'll need to bring up some old thread and post the poll there. :fyi:

I understand why people do it, they search for a certain topic and find it more convenient to resurrect an old thread than create a new one. The problem is that often few of the people in the original discussion are still here, and sometimes, some of them are actually dead, so they are responding to no one.

I'm not going to answer the question until it's dead. I will then answer Never!

It's a little sad when someone embarks on a campaign of answering questions that were answered five years ago.

But seeing the avatars of members from long ago is nice.

As someone who once resurrected a 10 year old post about the second confiteor I can not say never :fyi:

I guess the concern is people don't like answering the same questions over and over again, but also sometimes the part of the question you wanted answered wasn't answered on that thread from 10 years ago. So what do you do?

This question would be answered in the thread title :fyi: It will at least benefit the lurkers.

I have no issue with someone finding an old thread on a subject and asking an additional follow up question. I don't think it is appropriate to add answers to old, long dead and thoroughly answered threads.

It's a worthless question along with a contradiction in terms. No way to post upon death. Being alive I'm glad to comment via a post.

:fyi: Texas was left out as an option, which is what I would vote.
