The Cowboys are the class of the NFCE this season and proved that big winning streaks in the NFL are hard ... and rare ...

That defense can keep Dallas with anybody and I feel Chicago is in that same ball park. That D Line manhandled an O line that hasn't allowed anyone near Brees all season. Even though the Saints lost I was pretty pleased with holding them to 13 and shutting them out in the second half. I think the D has been coming around as of late. After a 10 day rest, the Saints get a rematch with the Bucs, the Steelers and two against the Panthers to finish it out ...

it was pretty impressive that they seemed to have brees out of sorts and offline most of the night... not sure what his final stats were , but i do know they were far from his normal standard ... i must say i was pretty shocked at the outcome and my sister (die-hard saints fan) was not impressed

I would add nor was she happy.

Wow. McCarthy got whacked. I did not see that coming mid-season.

Maybe the problem is Rogers, not McCarthy?

i saw that this was probably going to be his unexpected swan song in the great tundra ... i was wondering if both rodgers and luck were hurt early today

It seems clear that their relationship was poor. One of them is getting paid $20M a year. One them isn't. Guess which one got fired?

McCarthy is likely to outlast Rogers in the NFL.

Unless Rodgers wants to coach, which I doubt.

Meanwhile, the Steelers were determined to give the Bolts chances until they made the kick....

McCarthy was clearly not utilizing Aaron Jones properly. The guy was averaging about 6 yards a carry all season and he was running him like 7-8 carries a game. It was a crime. People in the know seem to be split on who was really to blame all year. Still, Rodgers has been missing wide open players and easy check-downs all year. You can't blame McCarthy for that.

Just saw this post last night.

Throwing up my hands ... maybe.

Throwing up food ... no, I wasn't.

The rumor mill already has McCarthy in Cleveland next year...I'd like to see it happen.
